Eat This Book is one of my favorite Eugene Peterson books. If you are unfamiliar with the name, he was the translator of The Message Bible. Eat This Book deeply impacted my thinking on the way we read the Bible. Peterson looks at John and Ezekiel, who were both told to “eat this book,” and explores the importance of allowing the Bible to fuel our lives. He also touches on the importance of translating the Bible regularly into the language of the people.

The production quality of this book is excellent. Grover Gardner is a popular and skilled narrator, but if you are new to audiobooks, you may find his voice a little hard to pay attention to.
