He encourages us to view our belovedness as the framework in which life makes sense. His writing style is poetic rather than expository. Listening to this book is like allowing a gardener into your soul—planting seeds whose fruit only patience will reveal.

The production quality is good. Henri Nouwen, while a capable reader, does have an accent. A really good set of noise-canceling headphones will go a long way toward appreciating this book. I would not recommend it if you are new to audiobooks—the poetic nature of his writing makes it especially easy to lose concentration.
