In this book Henri Nouwen invites us to see ourselves as the beloved. He invites us to see our belovedness as the framework in which life makes sense. His writing stile is poetic rather than expository. Listening to this book is like allowing a gardener into our soul. Planting seeds to which only patience will reveal the fruit.

The production quality is good. Henri Nouwen while a good reader does have an accent. A real good set of noise canceling headphones will go a long way towards appreciating this book. I would not recommend this book if you are new to audio books. The poetic nature of his writing makes it especially easy to loose lose concentration.
