Poetry from the Cabin 02/12/2024
Take, break, thank, and give
Breaking and giving life to many hands
A recipe for how we all should live
Present, exposed, given to fellow man
Strangers become family around table
Here we learn to sit back and be at ease
Sharing life and what love we are able
Here we participate and pass the peas
Be it carrot, lamb, salad or beef
A sacrifice is host to fellowship
So gratefully we share the costly feast
That elevates this death from simple hardship
Here we practice despite our brokenness
Serving up our lives to those around us
