Poetry from the Cabin 02/02/2024
And death passed through the famine-barren land
But by innocent blood foolishly shed
Death passed over the family of the man
And the nations of earth were blessed with bread
And so twelve brothers sat segregated
Joseph, eleven, and Egyptians feast
On lamb, and bread, and wine, they all partake
Foreshadowing when we of Jesus eat
For Joseph was known when the cup was held
And by his flesh good bread was given
His blood thus shed for the sake of the world
That all should come to him and live
On Jesus’s body, and Jesus’s blood
We all now feast, partake, thus bound in love
