Poetry from the Cabin 01/14/2024
It has been on my heart to write poetry about some of the Churches in our area. My hope is to showcase what God is doing in each Church community, while allowing the ambiguity present in poetry to allow each poem to apply to the capital C Church. This Poem is about Swan Chapel, our own home Church
Come pull up a place to this round table
Among these friends who remember your name
Be ye weary worn strong or feeble
Come and assemble in Jesus name
A feast is set delicious and plenty
But don’t forget to leave room for dessert
The coffee and tea are complementary
A simple feast of such great riches worth
Ministry flows around these tables
Fire and smoke in David’s son’s temple
This assembly of the sealed
Blessed with love both strong and gentle
Daughters and sons here is God’s family
Miraculous is this assembly
