Poetry from the Cabin 01/05/2024
Enter weary traveler and rest
From long toil across this middle earth
This Elrond’s house for journeys east and west
Rest in light before the roaring hearth
This halfway house among the wilds
Of what was and what is yet to come
Heal your heart of weary miles
Meditate on maps and wait on wisdom
She fills the city square with lifted voice
But here her speech is as among her friends
Before a table set with bread and wine
So traveler lean close and listen in
The one who made you, formed you, knows you
His spirit guides alive within you
