A poem about hope this advent season.
“Hail(1) Mary, full of grace,”(2)
Listen to what the angel says.
As she was filled with holy awe,
The humble glory of her call,
And so we too stand in her place.
For blessed is fruit that of thy womb,
The young mother awaits her groom,
Believing humanity
Can bring forth divinity,
The bride is called and in full bloom.
(3)The virgin bride is birthing God,
With the dragon looking on.
Her son is born, the kingly stone,
Soon snatched away to Heaven’s throne,
She waits within desert façade.
Upon the lonely road apart,
With treasures stored within her heart,(4)
The lady waits for groom to come,
And while she waits, she grows in love,(8)
Her life for God it is her art
Young bride, believe God’s word is true,
The spirit overshadows you.
For you are called to bear His seed,
Say, ‘Let Your will be done in me,’
As heaven then gives birth through you(5)(6)(7)
