Part 2 of 7
The Tree Cut Down
The tree of life grew tall, broad and bore fruit
As Man trusts God, a righteous friendship blessed
The two mankind with God, in love’s pursuit
Tending the garden, stewarding all flesh
un clothed and shameless blazing in bright light Ruling, leading in fruitful working joy
Until the snake did speak distrustful lies
The tree cut down, relationship destroyed
Those who had dwelled below its great wide bows
Who were the muse of God’s stupendous wealth
Stand by the stump in shame their new death shroud
In pride and mistrust they have found their death
Wind blows the garden trembles footsteps close
Mankind stands in new itchy fig leaf clothes
