It physically hurts me when adults write of The Chronicles of Narnia as mere children’s books. They are children’s books, but they are also packed with wisdom for every age.

When asked what my favorite commentary on the Bible is, I will often reply The Chronicles of Narnia. C. S. Lewis explores many biblical themes—everything from suffering (The Magician’s Nephew), to the providence of God (The Horse and His Boy), our calling (The Silver Chair), and even God’s judgment (The Last Battle). Because of the nature of his storytelling, his writing is profound without getting lost in details.
